Do you need to remove the carbon from the filter, i have a mini 10g tank setup, and a rb with popeye and cloudy eye. I added a bunch of melafix, but i cant take the carbon out the filter cartridge.. is it ok to keep the filter cartridge in their with the carbon, while treating? I havent added any salt yet, and I upped the temp to 80.

You need to remove the carbon out of the filter before adding MelaFix. Take the filter out and use an airpump instead. Raise your temp to 85F and add salt.
