krill is great

I just started feeding my p's this stuff. They love it. It has noticably improved there color. They also have been alot more active.

Nice! Krill is supposed to do a number on your Ps coloration as well as raw shrimp.

the freeze dried krill are small and small reds will eat it

yea ive had problems gettin my rhom to eat anything other than live food so far... since ive owned him hes eaten one piece of krill and thats it... he can hold out for longer than i car not to feed him

Congratulations on getting your p's to eat krill, enjoy it while you can...
My RBP's ate it for just a short time when they were small (about 3") then they wouldn't touch it. Eventually I gave up and threw the rest away.

All my rb's are between 3 1/2 - 5 in.(some have grown faster than others). I have never had trouble feeding them anything. they immediately go after anything i put in the tank with them. I think the next thign i try to feed them will be seeds and nuts.

My Manny doesn't care about krill, but my Reds still go nuts when I feed the tiny stuff (even though they're 7,5-9" in size - it's like a lion chasing a sand flea...)

where do you get krill? The grocery store or a pet store? Can you get it fresh, frozen or only dried? My rbp seems to have become more picky of eaters the bigger they get.

I buy frozen cubes at my LFS. They're intended for my Pleco's, but my Reds never pass on an opportunity to have a go at krill as well.

Look for Hikari....They make a nice 2 packaged block of frozen krill where each block is sealable....Most all LFS's carry it

I buy frozen for my guys. They don't seem to care for the freeze dried variety.

Krill are very small - I think - shrimp: the stuff whales usually eat.

It's sold frozen, frost-dried and dried.

I heard great things about krill i'm gonna have to give it a try hope they dont cost to much though
