Its basically like Napster...

There was a thread on this stuff earlier...that told you all the ones to try and such...and which ones not to use do to hackers....Ill try and look it up..
I personally use kazzaa lite. No problems with it either. Mostly I use it for mp3 files and occasionally I dl avi movie files. I think its pretty safe. Basically pretty much like how napster used to be.

Give it a try, its a good prog.

Kazaa Lite is Kazaa without the spyware and shtiware that comes with the full version. Use it, I do....make sure you have a good antivirus program loaded though.
does it have programs like video editing and such too?
For kazaa lite I want to say no, however I have not extensively tried out all functions. I think that lite is a scaled down version of the original, so i wouldnt think so. I dont even know if the full version has video editing.

Kazaa and Kazaa Lite don't have any video editing...

Anyway though, I think its the best network there is for DLing pretty much anything you want. Porn/Music/Games/Movies/TV Episodes... pretty much everything u could ask for. I recently DLed about 40 episodes or so of Family Guy, and the whole Band Of Brothers miniseries. Family Guy is so godforsakenly funny

I guess you can download almost anything on Kazaa Lite, ranging from music, video's and games, to professional software, codecs, OS's etc...

The only trouble is that when downloading programs, you don't know what you're really downloading until it's on your harddrive and you install it. Basically, people can give files they share any name they want to: in this way I downloaded GTA Vice City (leaked version), so I though. It turned out to be an entirely different program. So beware of that...
yeah, alot of the pc games are fakes, or mis-labeled, or don't even work. But most other stuff does.

A good virus protection program should keep your computer okay. I dont recomend anyone operating one with out a virus prot. program. Espeacially nowadays.

Oh Yeah , It's a great one, Everyone should have it.lol
I had one sitting in my computer last week,([email protected] ) I guess it came from the kids computer and Norton although up to date didn't pick it up.It came through a folder that I share with their computer. There were 4 instances waiting to be executed. Luckily I found them before the were run.
Kazza lite is simply a hacked kazza program, and like xenon says it has everything the original does except the spyware.
no I mean I dont want to deal with hackers and viruses is what I meant
I've probably dled 300 gigs worth of stuff off kazaa/kazaalite total over the past year, I never have/still don't use virus protection at all, and I haven't suffered a virus hit once.
I have always been fine too, and not kazza lite is hacker free.. The idea behind the lite part is that the program has been liberated of adware bs that kazza programs into their software to make money.

That'll learn ya for using Norton.
Seriously though, Norton's not the powerhouse it used to be, it's gotten more and more bloated while being less and less effective. I used to swear by it, now I won't use it. I use AVG now (http://www.grisoft.com), the free version is absolutely brilliant. Very small and really thourough.
