Yeah like I said I just picked up some terns from Joefromcanada and they were bigger than we both thought they were. The biggest is like 10-1/2 inches and the two others are like 8 inches. I put the two smallest in with my 4 reds but there only like 4.5-5 inches. They seem to be okay right now but I was just wondering do you think the terns will leave them alone until my reds get a little bigger? I'm hoping so I would hate to lose my reds that I raised from dime size. Anyways tell me what you guys think.
Thanks

P.S I put the 10-1/2 incher in its own 50 gal because I thought he was a little to big and pictures are to come once they settle down in there new homes

Thanks in advance

Ive seen people mix them that size before with no problems, even with one the size of your largest one.

You just need to keep an eye on them, provide cover for them if things are getting out of hand, and keep them well fed to a routine.

i have an 8" piraya that's nice to smaller piranhas, and i have a 7" tern that tries to kill them and chase them all day. if you have friendly terns, sounds good. mine is majorly sociopathic. he'll just sit there with a blank stare and try to murder anything any size and not even spill his morning coffee or notice he's doing anything. i'd love to see that big tern though. terns are awesome looking fish. have the terns been overly aggressive and bullying your smaller p's?

thanks guys

Anyways they haven't been chasing them to much they've been pretty good so far. yeah the large tern is pretty big I'll put pictures on soon I just want them to get a little fonder of there new enviroment before I start flashing the camera infront of them. I think I got a good deal I bought 3 terns 1 at 10-1/2, 2 at 8 inches, one penguin 1140 powerhead, one ac powerhead, one emp 280, one fluval canister, one ebo jager 250 watt heater, 50 gallon tank, one gravel siphon, light and hoods for 325 Canadian for everything. Tell me what you guys think, I saw a 6 inche tern for sale on sharkaquarium for 200 american and my guys are all 8- 101/2 inches. anyways thanks for the help and your input would be more than welcome.

Thanks sledhead
