how long could a single jag last in an 80 gal? is it possible to sex them at a couple inches, if so how? what would be a good diet for one of these guys?

a single jag could live in a 80g for life. and it is very hard to sex them at a young age

a good diet for one would be pellets, krill, earthworms, crickets(or some sort of other easy to get insect), and even beefheart every now and then

an 80g is a tad small for a mature jag. When it hits 8-9" move it into a 125g. I feed my jags crays, convicts, and crickets.

agreed.. jags swim alot and demand a large territory..

My male jag used to keep my entire 2000gallon to him self..

I had to move my 14-15 inch female in an 80 gallon hospital tank... she dwarfed the tank.
