Save yourself the trouble and just buy one. Buy a used one if you are having monetary problems. Its not worth the risk.

I agree with InSin, I find its worth it to leave it to the pro's when it comes to aquarium...too many what ifs if I tried to do it myself.

if you really wanna try it, a small 5-10gal size acrylic tank would be easiest. Flooding isn't really a factor if you go small, or fill it up outside.

it also really depends on you skills as a craftsman, for a large tank you really dont have much room for error
