thinking of getting a protien skimmer on my 125g pygo tank. is it worth it in a freshwater tank? what r some of the pro's and cons of a protien skimmer??? thanx

i only use a skimmer on a saltwater tank NOT on fresh. but the skimmer act like a tide coming in and out . and skim the water for junk

they do not work that well at all on fw tanks
they some espacially for fw but are crap
i wouldent waste money on it
but for my sw tank it does a great job
