I am stuck between getting a 55 gallon, 75 gallon, or 90 gallon. I would like to put a Rohm in whatever I get. I am thinking somewhere around the 8 to 12" what do you guys think, obviously the bigger the better, but lets say the rohm is housed in it for 2 or 3 years, maybe even gets up to the 15" mark. What size tank do I NEED and what is just getting to be a luxury for the fish.

it will take a long time for it to hit the 15" mark....if you want one thats 10-12"....definatly no to the 55...he'd make a 5 point turn in there, the tank is only like 14" deep i believe...fish is 12" long..do the math....if you want him to get big, and your willing to toss him in a tank, go for the 90, he will be in heaven man

i Have my 9inch rhom in a long/wide 40g but for only about 6 months when i move out of the dorms...I would recommend a 75 or bigger for a 10inch rhom for life

A 75 wont cut it for life, nor will a 90 because its just taller than a 75 with the same dimensions. You should be looking at 100+ for life. For a 10-12" rhom you could use a 75 to 90 for a while, just know you may need to move up eventually.

edit: forgot to add, a 55 is absolutely a horrible idea IMO for a rhom that big.

75 is fine... your gonna get many different oppinions over this sh*t so do what you want but know that anything less than a 75 is probably not ok. just keep up on your params and water changes..

They can custom make you a tank with a decent volume with the footprint of a much larger tank for an absolutely great price. I am eyeing a 70 wide for my next setup (48x24x13; same footrpint as a standard 120) or a perhaps a really interesting 65 wide (36x24x18). or even a most badassed 75 long (72 x 18 x 13) same footprint as a standard 180!
