i work for the airlines and i can fly free, and my dad was actually planning a trip to Peru pretty soon...

i would think it is against the law to bring these fish back home, but it was worth asking anyway

if you go with fish importers I know they let you keep them if you pay for their shipping back into the US, otherwise I dont think it would be economical for you since you would pay import fees, various licenses, and have to pay a fish place to hold it and ship it for you

From what I remember from working for United Airlines Cargo a few yrs back.. You need to go through customs and most likely be denied importing livestock alone. Most LFS that do receive goods from other country have contracts and have distributing licenses. Any livestock that comes into this country has to be appproved by F&G with the approval of Gov regulations. Plus before livestock is ever imported here, most are inspected in case of any unknown disease from which they came from before shipping. If Ron or Pedro can enlighten the rules and regulations, Im more than happy to go with their statements.
