I have a 75 as my main tank and I have a 20 with a 4 inch Rhom in it. I went to the store last night and bought 8 medium sized feeder goldfish for my p's. I put them in the 20 with my rhom figuring that they would last a few days. He could eat one when he is hungry and I could take 2 or three out to feed my red in my 75.

The case was not so when I examined my rhom this afternoon. He killed 6 of them and left two with no caudal fin. The dead ones were bitten in half and some had 1/3 of their body gone.

What a kick ass fish.

I guess I need to get a seperate feeder fish tank.

I would say go for it and get a little tank for your feeder, then you don't have to spend so much time at the petstore.

i'm getting a feeder tank also my stand is open at the front and i will put it under my main tank so i can buy quite a few feeders a time as only 1 lfs in my area sells them as we are not supposed to feed live here in the uk.
i will only feed them these once every week and keep feeding them their usual diet also
