OK today i was at my part-time job at the LFS and a guy brought in a "FISH" to donate to the store....

Well the assistant manager took it then threw it into a tank with some arowanas and labled it a RED BELLY PACU ...

well i came into work today and 1st thing i notice is a half eaten arrow...

then i notice something hiding in the corner...it was a CARIBE with a big belly....

So i walk over to the assistant manager and say why do u have a PIRANHA in your tank over there with your arrows?.... he says no that isnt a piranha its a pacu.... i say NO ITS NOT ITS A RANA

then he goes off saying hey ur a NEW GUY here pls dont tell me how to ID fish, then i say well i might be NEW but i KNOW what a PIRANHA IS

then he said this argument is CLOSED and if u want to keep your JOB i would keep your MOUTH shut....but of course i didnt keep it shut...

then i get sent HOME ...(knowing i just lost my JOB) I call the OWNER telling him what happend and that he has a ILLEGAL fish in the STORE that the ass.manager accepted and that he sent me home.....

I get a phone call from the owner about an hour later telling me to go back to work....and to ID the FISH.... So i Tell him its a CARIBE a member from the PYgocentrus family of PIRANHAS.... and NOT a PACU

He says that I AM RIGHT and had the ASS.MANAGER apologize to me...

So i get to keep my JOB but i think the ASS.manager is going to give me a hard time for the next couple of weeks...

Just goes to show you that people enjoy making uneducated assumptions when they are in a position of power. If he is seriously giving you a problem, bring it iup with the owner/store manager. I guarantee you that you're on his good side seeing as you possibly saved him more arrows in the future and possibly a law suit if that Caribe is illegal in your state.

BUT i am still angry at the situtation, I GOT this Job because it was SUPPOSED to be Fun, BUT ASSHOLES like that guy makes the job not...

Especially on Saturday when i get to work with him again ..... I wonder how bad it will get in the next few weeks... i guess i just gotta watch my back till he lets go of the MISTAKE he MADE....
