I would be willing to guess that one could get twice the amount then you would get for normal ones. But thats just off the top of my head, I dont know exactly what normal ones go for. Without knowing off the top of my head the going price for normal ones, I could see someone offering $200 for the green ones. If they were in fact BOTH green. Just an estimate.

From what i hear. Not that many have them. And i have never seen one for sale. A guy i know who has 3 of them refused 200.00 a piece for 3 inch ones.

Whoa then perhaps my estimate was off. Heh, im more of a Serra man anyway. Dont really find much intrest in Pygos. But yeah, I guess if someone wants to pay $200 for a coloration difference of a Natt so be it. People are still paying top dollor for the yellow version.

Any other physical differences in the fish other then base color being green?

well, if thats what they are then i definitely did! i bought my tank from this guy that was moving and he gave me the fish for free so i would take care of them! im working on getting pics up to verify if they are green or not...

Thats what im thinking also. Nothing really impresive about them, or really that different. I can barely even tell them apart from regular ones. Those pics of a group of natts swiming and one is supposed to be "green" all look the same to me. I dunno, maybe its just me. I really dont see the big deal.

I seen natts from green with red bellies to natts that are almost black with gold flake to blue with red bellies to sliver with red bellies. I mean nothing special here. Its a red for crying out loud, not a damn caribe or piraya so why would you spend that kind of money?

Hey Wes, doesn't this apply for most lfs?! Just about all the ones here in Oregon label their piranha's wrong and I even saw one call the red bellies Serrasalmus Nattereri. I told them it was incorrect and I'm assuming they changed it.

They have a nice green tint on the top of their bodies. They look quite well to me.
