i have a 125 with an aquaclear 500 going to get a beter filter soon but how often shuld i vacuum the gravle i have 11 2-3" red bellys.

me to, wen i do water changes, first i vac gravel, and when im done vacuming the gravel, its usually time to fill it back up with water. so it's pretty good.

I change my water by using a gravel vac. I think that's the most practiced method here. I do it every sunday night so i'd say weekly is a good schedule for it.

I do mine with every water change, If your taking water out, You might as well be cleaning the gravel too.
It's just a good habit to get into and doesn't take much longer .

Water change every week. Vac gravel every other week. Planaria be damned!

2x per week. i have a 190 with 12 p's and it just gets too damn messy in there. And i still see crap flie when they dart

quite right you might as well vag the gravel if your syphoning water it is getting into the habit.
