This is funny because I am getting married in May, and I haven't really been kicking money towards the wedding, so in November when I got my 1st tank, my fiance gave me sh*t about it. I was like, "Don't worry hun, the tank and everything will only cost $50" Meanwhile, it was actually $120 I paid, add $27 for my first P, numerous decorations I have bought, changed the gravel once, bought another filter which she doesn't know about(she's clueless) another 10 G tank to try breeding guppies/mollies, 3 plecos, 1 crayfish, .....you get the point, I estimate in the last 4 so months, I have spent around $400. If she only knew...

My first piranha tank (15g + all equipment needed) belonged to a relative, so that one cost me nothing.

When I started with piranha's, early april 2002, I paid 3 bucks each for my 6 reds (dimesized), and since I started I spend about 150 bucks on plants, rocks, wood, gravel etc., 100 bucks on additional hardware, 90 bucks for my current 80 gallon tank (fully equipped, lucky me

), about 200 bucks on tank mates for my reds (as they came and went...), and quite a lot of money on feeders, shrimps, and other foods (couple of hindreds of bucks i guess...).

In total: a shizload of money (about 800 bucks in 10 months, roughly), but my little hooligans are worth every single cent I spent on them......

£50 55 gal tank ,got 2 x filters free from friends, £20 for 4 heaters p's kept breaking them ,hood free ,stand £20 in sale,reds x 2 £15 each 3'' and reds x 2 £3.50 each 1''.

£45 40 gal tank which had everyting including 4 x4'' reds which were sold to get new reds sold tank also for £40 with all equiptment to a friend and reds for £20 to lfs so made £15 after @ 2 months owning reds see if i liked piranha .

spent @ £170 all together which in $ is @ $250 but this will nearly double when i get my piraya in a couple of weeks so not much really
