I just got some shrimp from my grocery store, so far my P hasn't gone near it. I've had my rhom for a couple of weeks and so far he hasn't ate. How long can I leave the shrimp in there before it dirties the tank?
I'd drop it in about an hour before you switch the tank lights off, and take it out the next morning. Start with just one or two pieces (to avoid pollution), and once he starts eating on a regular basis, you can give him more.
