how come rhom feeding videos are not as common as all the other pygos???? id like to see some

So many reasons!!! They're shy most of the time, it takes forever for them to eat in front of you, and you'll need hella patience!!
Took me a damn near hr to catch mines finally attacking a feeder..

then when I looked at the pix on the digi cam, it was his back turned!!!

I've sat waiting and waiting to get a good still shot . It's not too easy . I don't have a vid cam but thats got to be easier. Just keep in ind though , there's one fish in the tank going after it's food. There is no where near the action of a bunch of reds repeatedly smacking their dinner. My Rhom when he goes for it , usually does it pretty quickly and when he want's and it's over in couple seconds. I dropped some beef heart in the tank last week for the first time thinking it would take a bite from it only to see him gulp a piece half the size of my thumb WHOLE. Total time from dropping heart in? less than 5 seconds....

lol, I wanted to get some of him eating the crayfich but only got pics of him eyeing it up .

. He waited untill I fell asleep before eating it.
I'll try and get a cam and see what I can manage to get . I must have taken a dozen shots of scales floating in the water as feeder severed in half either sinks or floats but the camera or me is too slow to pop the pic at the exact time. I did get the shots of him eyeing it up though . Those were cool.I posted them in pictures and videos.

Cool. Like to see what kind of action you guys can some up with .
When I'm trying , it's like trying to take photos of lightning. You know it's going to happen someplace in front of you but not exactly when or where and it's over before you can do anything .

my rhom is highly aggressive. he hunts and kills. however he swallows most things whole so it isn't that fun to watch. i will get a big goldfish next time mad comes up.
