Here in Missouri our vents for our heat are either on the wall at floor level or actually on the floor. With that said, I want to put my new 75 piranha tank in my living room. The only wall that it can go on, which is the best place to put it anyways has a heating vent on it. If I put my tank on the wall will it get to hot?? It is never set above 70 and the tank will be about 3" away from the wall because of the filters. I think it will be ok but wanted to see what you guys think.

It will take alot of hot air to heat your 75g. The heat will heat up your tank a little and you can warm your tank in winter time without using heaters.

Your tank is going to get hot because the heat coming from your heater is not set at 70 degrees, but rather much more to warm up the entire room. By putting your tank in front of the heater you're going to make the room colder and thus have the heater need to work even harder, thereby increasing your heating bill and more importantly causing bad temperature variations in your tank.
