my piranha's name is bulldog she jump out the tank and bit my leg and didnt let go for like 20 minutes i had to be rushed to the hospital but she still with me i love her like i did my part of leg thats now missing!!!

I got bid once by one of my reds...it was rather stupidity...didn't feel much...it was too fast...

This has happend to me only a couple times. All from stupidity. Almost one was my wifes fault.

I was replanting a plant they ripped up and while my hand was down it there my wife came up too me right infront on the fish tank, and once one fish swims across the tank 40 more follow him.

I just think my hand was in his swimming path and he grabbed my nuckle. Didn't really hurt.

but needs a skin graph. The other times were because I cornered the fish in the tank trying to net them and got him really pissed and he chomped my finger. Just my experance though it sucks.

I got bit by my 10" rb and he almost took off a whole chunk. I was transferin him to his new tank and he fell through the net and I figured I can give him a boost to the tank and he bit me. It felt like a alittle pinch I barely even noticed, untill the blood was all over my hand. He would of took about 1.5in of flesh if the teeth went all the way through.

wow mad i often wondered how you rearanged stuff in your tank without getting bit now i know

thats gotta be scary i know when i have my hands in my tank my eyes are always on my p's if i can't see 6p's my hands aren't in there.

i wonder if we could by some stainless steel shark gloves

I have no fear of these fish. It would be pretty nasty if I got bit and blood started running out of it before I would notice what was happening my hand would be gone. This is the simply reason why I keep my fish very very well fed. But since they have not eaten since sunday due to the video I'm shooting tommorow, I have not and will not put my hands anywhere near the water. They are so hungry they were eating brazil nuts I have been feeding my pacus.

My 5" spilo got my knuckle a few weeks ago, it just swam at me so fast then hit my hand and jumped up and hit the glass top then went to its corner when I pulled my hand out I saw the blood. it was a small cut and I didnt even know it happened.

i had a marginatus jump about 8" out of the water (maybe more i was looking down on the tank, it was on the floor) and bit my damn finger. bled like hell but didnt really hurt.

One defensive bite in my finger 7 years ago...a lot of blood and take 4-5 days to heal!

Nothing to worry about since the P was 2 1/2 TL!
