This morning i woke up and guess what...power was out no more electricity.I was starting to be really worried and PISSED OFF (JUST PICKED UP CARRIBES NOT EVEN 3 DAYS AGO)didint know what to do in that case exept hoping for powre to get back on.Igot lucky and it came back not to long after.
do you guys know what to do in those cases.
Just in case next time it happens i know what to do if the power stays down for to long.
How much time do i have before it gets bad for the fishes???

you should be fine in cases like that for atleast a few hours. but in times where the power stays out for longer periods of time, you can,

1) get a battery operated air pump, and take all your filter media out and float it in the tank

or

2) Fork out the money and go buy yourself a generator or a power invertor.

you can get them at a local pet store

You can get a generator for around $100. It wont be a big one but it will give you enough amps for your tank. Check out Home Dept or Sears.... Better yet if you want a good one at a steal check out your local yard sales and newspaper ads for a used one.

Computer APC 500 Battery backup would run all your filter for over an hour... ive been thinking about getting one myself just for those reasons....
