The other day i went to a lfs called greenwoods. I asked the guy that works there if he could order me fish. he started to ask me a few different questions and asked " do u wont a job?". i thought holy sh*t! I said YES! He just called me and wont's me to come in to start training. i work at a pet store right now. Mostly animals. They do have a fish room in the back. But i would much rather work at a store devoted to fish. i plane on learning a lot. Dont know how im going to break it to my boss. HAHA

This is every 16 years old dream job! (Other then porn star :rasp: )

So have I, starting beginning of Feb. Not the same place obviously. The difference is I'm 25 and halving my wage!! But as long as I enjoy it, I'm taking the plunge to marine too 25% off. The discount should save me a fortune. Its only round the corner too.

If your 16 and wondering how to break it to your current boss do this. Ask for a raise a huge raise. Back it up by saying how hard you work and that you know things about his shop. Like not giving you breaks on time. When he says no pick a busy day and just walk out. Walking came be very satisfying if you do it at the right time. Afterall you didn't get the raise? right?

i used to work at a couple of lfs, just be carefull though as sometimes these places will think that as your only 16 they can make you do all the work and you wont complain about it, thats what happened to me so i quit. As for quiting the best way to do it is do what i did, get your parents to do it! i didnt dare so i just found a new job and then my dad rang in and told them that my new emloyer had rung in before the fs opening times and told me to start straight away so i couldnt ring to tell him

Thats GREAT im glad u got a JOB at your local LFS ...and from what i see its what u want to DO..

I myself have a fulltime JOB managing a Cell phone store , but i got a PART-time job at my LOCAL LFS and im getting paid close to $11 an hour...and its the BEST LFS in Southern California

along with the discounts u get paid to learn and talk about FISH!!!
