Well, I picked myself up 5 more baby caribas yesterday. The biggest is about .75" and the smallest about .5". Before I even got them out of the bag... one already lost an eye. Pissed me off pretty good. He seems to be doin ok now though except I dont think he can see out of either eye because the other P's ate pretty far into its head and I can see the other eye. I hope he makes it. But all and all, It was a good day, the crazy shits are already attacking feeders.

R u sure there cariba's? That size is pretty small. I don't think alot of people are breeding them. Show us pix. Well if they are buy a shitload and sell em. Thats good as gold.

I don't know for sure. They have a very pronounced humeral spot and have quite different coloration then my reds did when they were that small. Also, the guy told me they came from Venesuala (sp?) and i can't think of what else would come from there. So no, I don't know for sure, but i'm virtually assured.

Sounds like perhaps they might be reds. The hobby, or at least the combination of the two P boards has not seen caribe that small. Perhaps 2 inches was the smallest. Makes me question it further if a LFS is the only one selling them.

Just a concern. Good luck with them, and hopefully they do turn out the be caribe.

True dat, DJ. I been hopping over PFish just to check for any Caribas.. and most of them are all in the eastcoast. And never frys. I dont think theres any member from both board that ever had the luck in breeding Caribas.

i've yet to see fry for sell.....i heard of only two people who have had success in breeding them..but as said, they are not speaking upon the matter...and to get that size of cariba that small ..makes you thing twice about it...i think the local fish employee didn't know what they were talking about about..

Here's hopin anyways (drinking... toasting).
