I'd say both are decent deals. The reds are pretty much a average deal, well around my area. To get a55 gallon tank, with hood and stand and lights new for 125 is a good deal. Jump on it
If you're going to get a 55 you should first check to see how much more the 75 gallon is. It is the same height and length but it is a few inches deeper. It gives them more floor space. It is my opinion from my experience that floor space for p's is more important than height. I'm not trying to say that if you get a 55 then you should get a 75, and since you're at a 75 you should get a 125, and so on. It shouldn't be that much more money. Look into it.
i got my reds for $5 each and then 3 for $13 and that was cincinnati. then in dayton (which is only 30 miles north of cincinnati at the same store chain) the reds were like $8 a piece for babies. across the street at petco they were $9 a piece. so i guess i got a good deal in cincy.
I think the deal on the reds is about average for babies. Nothing special there. If you want a brand new 55g I would go ahead and get it as its a good deal. Around here, a 55g setup costs like $350!
If you dont care that the tank is new I recommend finding someone on buy and sell here or at predfish.....that or go to yard sales and looking in your local newspaper classifieds. People give away fish tanks at yard sales.
I say go for both!! Those are good deals, especially for the baby RBs. Over here where we cant get them in LFS, and babies usually go for $10 each.. $5 if you buy it in bulks. The fishtank is an average price, where we always have deals in local advertisments and through friends.
Thats a good deal, get it. I paid $4 each for my RB, but add $35.00 S/H. So if you can get it locally you dont have to wait and dont have to deal with shipping charges.
