Hi guys

Here i am again, Throwing out ideas to see whats possible and what's not. Anyway, if i were to stock my 115gallon with gold spilo's, how many could be kept in there for life ? 115G, 60"L x 20"W x 22"H. Also would it be possible to stock it with 1 each of Maculatus, Gold and medinei ?

I agree, only 6. You can mix Macs and golds, as it has been done before. I dont think anyone have tried to mix medinai with other spilos only with pygos and it has worked on occasion. Give it a try and keep us posted.

I have a big spilo...and also a medinei...and i dare not mix them...due to the different in sizes...but i do have my medinei w/ my reds and caribe...worked out great...ppl should try it...the medinei is 1" small than the reds and 2" small the caribe...but he still a bastard...still picking on the reds...

Ill have to go with 6-7 Spilos, depending on the size. Also adding a medinei wouldn't be a good idea, considering they are better at shoaling with Pygos!!

Thanks for the advise so far. I gotta say that i'm surprised that i may be able to keep so many. I know there's a guy with 7 golds and i think 4 mac's in a 300 gallon tank, but i'm still surprised that overall most people are saying 6-7. With regards the medinei i may try that with my caribe. What comparitive size does the med need to be in order to survive the caribe tank. Does it need to be of equal size or larger? My caribe are about 4" now. In August when i may attempt this they're gonna be much bigger!
