got paid and need a filter for my 100 gallon tank. I want to go with a canister. Any input would be helpful on which are the best and which one I should get. Thanks

I bought XP3 and liked, problem was prices at local fish stores. Could by nearly two online and pay shipping for same price as going out to buy. Hope you have better luck in your area.

any ehiem would be perfet. i have the 2217 and the 2215 on my 125 and it works awsome

Yeah I would suggest the Eheim 2217. I have 2 for my 180. I hooked them up to test em, unbelievably quiet and nice. $129 with media and double taps at big als online.

Eheim or Xp3 are fan favorites. Do you have a filter on there already? I would go with canister+hang on back...but whatever floats ur boat

Perfect timeing for a filter. I currently own an XP3 and I think it's ok. You can pick one up now for like $100. Currently bigalsonline is selling the Eheim 2026 for like $149 and the 2028 for like $200. That's a fantastic deal on those. Petsolutions.com matches bigals too and I just placed an order for a Eheim 2026 for my 75 Gallon Tank. It will be here on Monday. Good luck with any filter. I recommend Eheims or XP3 from Rena. Both are good.
