How can you tell the difference between a 3" gold spilo and a 3" gibbus? They both look the same in pictures I have seen. I am asking this so that when I go to my LFS I don't end up picking up a Gibbus instead of a Spilo.

Actually, as frank explained to me, S. Gibbus does not exist but is often misrepresented as a Spilo CF or Rhombeus morphism. S. Gibbus's holotype resembles elongatus more closely then S. Spilo or S. Rhombeus allthough the typical species under the hobby by that name is characterized with very forward setting eyes and a high back, i.e. rohm morph
