I have just installed my FX5 in my tank.

I spent an hour or so setting it up and have eventually got it working.

It seems to work okay, although it doesn't seem to filter as much as i have hoped.

I have seen gasmans working in real life and it was like a whirlwind but mine doesnt even seem to push my rio 1500 filter.

Ive connected everything correctly and read the instructions again and again but with no luck

Can anyone help or have any suggestions?

I have just realised that one of the screws at the top where it locks the top down on the filter has broken.

I spoke to fluval and they are sending me one free of charge which is great.

Could this be the problem?

That sound like your problem. I was going to say that filter is a very good filter and most people dont have any complaints

Anyone got an idea for the best filter media to use for the fx5?

You have 3 loads to put in, eg biomax etc???
