it seems that the new pirahnas i got are good but they dont seem to eat too much food off the top of the water, they did the first day, but now they dont, maybe somewhat but, do you think after a while they will eat off the top, they are only 2 days old in my tank, but yesterday they ate pellets and feeder an today they bit a fish to shreds

Mike your never gonna get to watch reds eat... You have to stay out of your room dude. You could crack them to make them sink. It's not worth it doing it every day just starve them till they eat it.

Actually they will end up eating in front of him in due time. They are just skidish. Allot of Ps dont like to eat from the surface. One good way to get your Ps to eat pellets is to stuff them into shrimp and they tend to just gobble them up.

they will only go to the top if u starve them...which is not a good idea. Since they are fin biters and killers...many times my larger piranha has taken bites of my smaller ones tail if i dont feed them
