Hey guys,
I need to know what brand or kind of foam can be used for a background in a piranha tank? I don't want to use styrofoam and silicon it to the back of my tank. I have seen tanks, mostly saltwater ones that have used this greyish type of foam that actually sticks to the glass and is safe in the water. Does anyone know of any foam like that? What colors are available? Thanks.

laying the tank on its back, I used spray foam, let dry, then cut out some caves.
I brushed on polyester resin, sprinkling sand at the same time for texture.

then painted with latex paint.
I will try and find the DIY thread I used.

if you don't like the resin idea, you could use the cement instead.

Great stuff can leech crap in the water. There is a expanding foam that is used in koi ponds. Its a few bucks more than great stuff per can but its aquarium safe.
