I gave my 2" rhom his first feeder yesterday, (a white cloud mountain minow) dropped it into the tank and it was gone in two bites lol, so........... i put in a gold fish 3 times his size. He nipped all its fins off then gorged its stomach out! he was very happy with himself haha, he now chases the cleaning magnet across the tank.

p.s. I have a new tank cycling right now, i have a 10" rhom on the way, ill post a pic when he's settled into his new home

Sounds like a real nice fish, sounds like you lucked out with the juvi rhom. Keep us posted on how things turn out.

Oh man, looks like you lucked out like me. My 2 inch is a hellion too. He loves ravaging the fins of big feeder goldfish easily 2X his size. Does your get in the death roll with the bigger feeders? Mine will go in for the kill and latch on to the fins while the goldfish squirms....since the rhom is so small it gets pulled around for a split second in a fury then releases with a big mouthful of fin....it

Next time you buy a feeder or feeders, if you don't quarantine them, put the bag in your rhom's tank, I had a 4 inch rhom, he used to bite thru the bag trying to get to them. It really pissed him off, it was funny. Then when I unleashed them, all hell broke loose :biggrin:

Congrats on being a Rhom owner!! Sounds like you got a good pick. My 8"er only attacks when Im not around or in the dark. Glad you can witness yours!!!
