Just trying to get an idea of what combination of media people use to get good filtration results.

I use floss and bio-max in my canister

In my canisters I use filter pads and coarse filter floss (combined about 40%), and biomedia (Ehfisubstrat sintered glass, about 60%).
In my internal filters I use the standard filter pads that it came with, and once they are used up I replace them with cotton balls...

I'm still old school when it comes to filter media as I still use carbon. I have two packs of bio max and sponge filter medi in my fluval 403.

Biohome and siporax are those among the best i've used as filter mediums so far.
