i was just wondering how long it will take my emperor 400 to cycle through ammonia and nitrate levels are starting to show and since the tank is already cycled this is the only thing i can figure it being. so i ask do any of u know exactly how long this cycle should take? thanks for any input.

The tank is never really cycled, almost all the good bacteria lives in your filter media. If you changed filters, your tank will need go through the cycle again. When ever you change filters, it is best to leave the old filter on until the new filter becomes established.

yeah you can put the bacteria stuff u buy in it and that will speed up the process some.
