When or how often should I change my filter cartridges, I just realized I havent since I got my 55g up and working, which was like a month or two ago. I have 4 RBP'S all about 2 1/2 - 4 inches in length. Thanks Guys

Correction its been like 4 months i have had P's for like 1 or 2 months.
I was cycling with fish before that.

I clean mine every month or so , If they go bad i Just replace .

what i do is just refill them with new carbon i got in a big jug... then just clean em and rinse them real good every month

i change them every 3 months or so

it usually says on the packaging how often you should change them, i think on mine it says 3 or 4 months, but i rinse one of mine out every other week or so. i only rinse one of the 2 so the bacteria will still be in the one, and by the time i rinse the second one, the first one will have the bacteria again

I usally wash them off in old tank water, every month are so. If they fall apart I'll replace.
