my little 2 incher still isnt eating, i would say something is definately wrong, but hes in with a barred midas, pike, jag, gt, and some cons and he runs the tank with the exception of the jag punking him once in a while. He was eating roseys at least even though im not into feeding live food but now he won't even accept that. I guess i'm not asking for advice just making a statement. I don't want him to die my huge POTO that got Popeye is no more....

I go to about 4-5 different stores here in va and maryland and i do not know of anyone who carries live black worms. The FH kinda just goes to the food then shy's away. He is still agressive towards the fish but is not lookin very good. He looks malnourished and unhappy.

what size is the tank? also, flowerhorns should be kept solitary as they will end up killing anything thta is in the tnak with them. that might be why its not eating, due to the stress of all the other fish.

It indeed could be due to stress. but I'm guessing that it isnt liking what he is feeding it. or possibly has an internal parasite of some sort. that is often the cause as well of a lack of apetite with fish

either it needs to starve longer, or practically speaking your fish is dead already. Internal parasites are apparently very hard to stop... it requires the purchase of special medicines that have to be mixed with the food and then orally ingested (eaten).

you could just try adding general fish medicines to the water, but i imagine it won't do any good.

my suggestion then would be to stop caring about the fish. Either its just not starved enough, or it has internal parasites and is consequently a goner anyway.

I had a JD that went 2 months without eating, and a senegal bichir that went for 1 and a half months without eating, when I switched foods on them and added them to new tanks. After 2 weeks i just stopped giving a rat's ass about either of them, and then one day I found the bichir eating, and 2 weeks after that the JD started eating.
