i bought some feeders for the first time today for my piraya for monday,i put them in with my 2 reds thinking the would last as i have never fed them feeders before.
well after the stress my p's had gone through today( netting my 2 largest) the 2 reds i have left wernt doing much then just snapped out of it .they eat one and just killed another leaving it until later and they then eat that one ,the other feeder is now on top of my powerhead waiting to die,one of my reds keeps smashing into the power head to get at him he is going mental .my reds i have left are awsome i think the larger ones i sold today must have been bringing them down they havnt stopped swimming and are kicking ass .

yeah that is cool that you are getting to know your fish, just make sure you don't overfeed them because as Frank says they will live longer if you feed them like 2 times a week depending on the size of the p's.

i mainly feed them whitebait and cichlid pellets but got some fedders for the piriya i am getting i will have to get some more now .
i feed my fish every other day overfeeding causes all sorts of problems so never have and never will

i am going to buy a feeder tank and keep feeders all the time but only feed the p's feeders once a week on the weekend and stick to thier normal diet during the week. i will buy the feeders @ 1 week before so i can check them out for a week

you will have to be carefull when buying feeders as it is illegal to feed your piranhas live fish here in England, oh, and next time you get some exctic piranhas sent over, please tell me so i can get in on it.

i know its illegal and i have only found 1 place which actually keeps feeders in my area .if you want any fish shipped i think another shipment may be comming september for the uk piranha club i want 1 or 2 cariba email [email protected] for more info on the club or visit the website or go to fishpost.com where he is a mod (nickg) is his board name

yes and he will even drop feeders in for his wolf and african tiger fish for you if you want to see then get eaten
