i got some awsome looking driftwood for my lfs and brought it home and the damn drift wood floats. do u guys have any ways of keeping on the ground

soak it in hot water for a while. ive had my driftwood for two months, its soaked ever since and is still very bouyant. you can drill it to a piece of slate, but my pieces werent good for that so i just tied fishing line to a suction cup and put it how i like it to the bottom of the glass, i like that way much better than slate, its just temporary for now...

Drill it to some slate but be sure to use stainless steel screws so it wount harn your water.
I have a piece of driftwood that's almost 6' long in my tank and it still wants to float, even after a year in the tank.....I just put a heavy rock at one end and it appears as if it's growing out of the gravel.

if you dont want to drill out slate , you can always glue the wood to the slate with some aquarium silicone
