i have been using amquel+ in my tank and the dr welfish ammonia test kit and i keep gettin high ammonia is that the wrong kinda kit cause after like 5 water changes i have no less ammo
my kit doesnt say nessler or salacite(sp?)
anyone here know of my kit and what kind it is
any info would be great

Nessler test kits are usually 1 container only. Yours should be a salicylate based kit. Not sure. Try their website.

Im pretty sure I have the same ammonia kit as you but has worked fine for me. Powder do you know if this is a nessler or sala... type kit? Do the nessler kits ever give false lows? I only found articles saying they gave false high ammonia readings, just curious.

yeah i found out its a salycite or however it is spelled
the nessler type only detects amonia it doesnt give you a ppm readout just if it is present and nessler only have one reagent not 2 like the ones we have
