Ive never ran across anybody that has looked at my sig. I also worked as a cashier for 3 years in high school and as long as I saw some writing on that slip when I glanced down, it was good to go.

As long as the receipt says approved at the top , people don't care to check out the signature ... they already have their money from you (or whoevers card your using!)

as of some time this year we wont sign for a cc in the uk youll have to tap in a pin number in to a machine
its suposed to stop fraud(sp?)

I work in retail, and the best way to do things is find the card that has your picture on it. There is no real way to get around this. Although, there is bound to be some pimple faced teen that wont even notice the picture on the front.
