DIY food grind

I have a decent shoal of red belly’s. I am looking to make a DIY frozen food i can thaw. I don’t want it to become so liquid like that it just clouds water and doesn’t feed them.

Tools available to me are a meat grinder (think ground venison), food processor, dehydrator, blender.

Foods i currently have: tilapia, shrimp (shell off), scallops, beef heart (fat trimmed), and clams.

my questions are. Do i need to add any vegetables or nuts? (Nuts because reading their diet online says they eat a lot of nuts and seeds). What method of processing is best to make flat frozen ziploc bags of it while minimizing the extra liquid in the mix, which won’t feed the fish just cloud and foul the water.

thank you anyone who reads this

I would just dice up what you currently have into bite size pieces and feed a mix or rotation, and suppliment with a good pellet. Making a paste will just become a mess and water quality issue. Pre thaw the frozen stuff in some warm water and drop it in.

thanks for responding! The p’s are only about 2-3” right now so they need it pretty small.
