I'm trying to cycle my 30g it's been up and running for 19 days now. I'm using a few tetras to get the cycle going and i also added bio-spira (5 days ago). Here's the thing, i come home from work (4 days ago this happened) and my filter wasn't working...it just died! (Emp 280) Thankfully it couldnt of stopped working for too long cause the bio-wheel was still moist. I went out and bought an aquaclear filter to replace it right away. I took half of the filter floss and i cut a small portion of the biowheel and stuffed them in the aquaclear to save whatever bacteria was on there. Could this have slowed my cycle down? I've been getting the following readings for the past few days now.

pH: 7.0
NitrAte: 10ppm
NitrIte: 2ppm
Ammonia: 0.50ppm

Wait it out? Or should a do a few water changes? Thanks for any info!

I would go ahead and do a water change. It wont effect they cycle..and it will reduce some of those levels for the current fish in the tank.

try to keep the water as close to tank temp as possible when or if you do a water change early. Wouldnt want you to lose that good bacteria.
