My one cat, casey, is constantly looking in my piranha tank. Last night for the first time that I have seen, it pissed off my spilo and he tried to get to her thru the glass which scared her, I was rolling. I took a pic, its not great, but you get the idea.

First off let me say I honestly am a cat lover, always have been.

My parents have a cat that is what is none as a Tortie short for torteshell (spelling?). The breed is common to have very sassy and bad additudes. They a cross of Siamesse, Himilayan and Calico I believe. Needless to say its a long haired cat that is black and looks like it has brown smudges all over it that sasses alot. This cat is evil, it hates being touched, and crys if you pick it up followed by attacking you.

I always theaten my parents to shave the fluff ball and through her into the cariba tank

"The dog is an emotionally shallow animal"

"See, Greg, if you yell at a dog, his ears will go down and his tail will cover his genitals even if he's done nothing wrong. It's very easy to break a dog. But cats make you work for their affection. Cats don't sell out like dogs do."

~Meet the Parents.

I hate cats.

my old cat, used to drink water from my fish tanks until they were nearly empty (prior to piranhas)

I dont know whether he did it to drink (he was always drinking very thirsty cat) or whether he was trying to get to the fish, my guess is thirsty though

I have 2 other cats, they never bother w/ the tank. The one morning I came in to find my lid submerged in the tank, I guess she was trying to get inside
so I make sure to shut this door now when im not around. Thanks Mad, here's another older pic of her w/ my tank http://pictures.care2.com/view/2/515365795

and just another pic of her so you can see how purty she really is

Torties aren't a breed, they're a color...and they're not descended from certain breeds. Like any other domestic short hair, they're mostly mutts. A few certain actual breeds can have tortie colors within its members though.

Yours is the first 'sassy' tortie I've heard of-- I've met quite a few in my lifetime, and my fiance's parents have one, and my aunt has two, and they're all very sweet cats. But every cat is different, maybe you just got unlucky.

Remember people, never make judgements on a group simply because you met one or two of its members.
