But none of them are close enough to have the heating effect of the sun...of course, by then, we might have enough heat trapped inside a Venus-esque thick layer of greenhouse gases...

thanks for the links Danny, those are pretty cool. Here's a little more info on those giant stars from wikipedia

"If it replaced the Sun in our solar system, it would extend to the orbit of Saturn"...

and here's another cool article. It seems there's an even larger star than those last 2 in that vid.
