I do the cooking, and it is quite fun. People would scrunch their noses on some of my creations though. LOL

Atleast she tried and it is good you take her out to dinner. That is interesting you do most of the cooking.

Well it can't ever turn out like the cookbook because half of the time they use more expensive ingredients to make the dish. It's all about the ingredients.

Cooking is fun...and a true cook knows to NEVER EVER follow the directions. They sometimes call for WAY too much or not enough on some of the ingrediants. Thats why they say you should experiment when cooking. That way you know what to change next time around. I agree with pcrose, cookbooks always try to get you to use the expensive stuff, so know your substitutes...

Im cooking right now, I got a Pork roast in the crock pot that has been going all day.
I dont have a choice, Im a single dad and the kids gotta eat. but some times I just tell them to grab some ramen noodles and feed their own face.

the reason I cook is that I am very picky with my food, if its not great food I am pissed, the way I look at it why settle for second best when you dont have too? I like spicy food that is cooked just right to little to much and I get pissed. So everyone pretty much says you know how you want it, you cook it, and they like my cooking anyway so it makes it easy on all of us

My man cooks for me and he's pretty damn good...goes through trial and error on some of his dishes but ultimately they turn out good. He makes the BEST spaghetti and homemade meatballs ever though...
