i would say no. a 55 is minimal for an adult oscar and yours is well on its way to full grown. a JD grows much slower and even though oscars can be incredibly social fish and coexist fine (i keep my adult oscar with a JD and several cons) they will need space to keep health. a JD should have 30-40 gallons to itself. let the oscar thrive on its own, youll enjoy it more. dont always squeeze every gallon out of your tanks for a fish.
