Is it normal for red bellies tail fins to get dark black one day then lighter the next and do this all the time. Because my 5 3"inchers seem to do this everyday right in fornt of my eyes

yes colour changes are normal mine do it all the time different when lights on or off and sometimes go darker within a few minutes after the light has been on for a while

Yeah, sounds fine to me. Once they get older the colors will start to fade as well.

Colouration of Piranha will change depending on many factors... its nothing you should be concerned about

I'm agree. With time the color will fade, so don't worry for such a normal thing!

There are some suplementary food with color enhancing formula that should be convenient to use only if a not chem product, since i believe in nature and don't like to use chems to obtein specific results.

Anyways, they will keep changing their color 'till their final days!

My red bellies have awesome color as of now, but I understand that there gonna lose it. I honestly dont mind. I kinda like the darker no red, on rbp.

My P is usally Bright Red during daytime and that red fades away when the night comes =)

All daytime fish do that. Saw it on Discovery Channel., so Markcosaur is right!
