Hey everybody,
I was away from home for a month and had my girlfriend feed my P weekly for me while I was gone...But as you can image the water got pretty nasty over the course of a month without water and filter changes...I've been doing pretty frequent water changes for the last week (since I've been back) and my water won't clear up. It is greenish and cloudy in nature. I have one 4" Cariba in a 20Gal tank with 260gal/hour filtration...I keep it at about 83 degrees and neutral pH...What can I do to clear this up?

Thanks

do you know what photosynthesis is? algae will grow out of control in ANY tank if there is an excessive amount of light available... very nearby windows and tank lights on too long are the main causes in my experience

Yes of course I know photosynthesis - Thanks for your help...I think you guys are right...It's in the kitchen of my apartment and I'll have to just make sure lights are off all night...I think it might have started when I came home drunk the other night and forgot to turn off the light...I should put it on a timer

Thanks again guys!
