I was thinking about cutting a clay pipe (like a 6" chimney liner) in half and using several pieces for caves. Do you think this material would affect water conditions? Has anyone ever done this?

IF ITS THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE CLAYPOTS MADE OUT OF . I DONT SEE A PROBLEM
