do regular water changes and add some salt. one of my irritans has one right now. there bc he freaks out every time i turn the light out and he hits the heater and glass. in a larger tank and some sald he should be fine.

my elong has developed a "chimple". i moved him into a larger tank(finally cycled) yesterday. he is doing great, but is there any way to speed up the healing process of the chimple?

i am the wrong person to ask about live plants but i have always done one tea spoon for every 10g of water. the nice thing about using salt is u can use alittle extra and it wont hurt your fish. ask in the plant forum about that
My irritan has redeveloped his since I got rid of the small rhom I had in the tank when it was divided. He just wont stop attacking me through the glass. Salt should help it heal more quickly, but im not sure about the live plant thing.

my rhom has one and there is salt in my tank as well as live plants. it seems like its taking a very long time to heal but its healing, and it has not affected my plants.
