I got to beef hearts today for free and ended up with about 10 pounds of fat free meat. How ofter can they be fed this can i feed them it every feeding or should i be mixing it up a little.

You do not want to feed your piranhas beef heart everyday if you want the to stay healthy. They need a varity of stuff in their diet. In the wild, piranha's diet consists of over 90% fish ...
Mix it up a bit. Give them krill, fish (cod, catfish etc.), shrimp, etc. I even have my piranhas eating "veg-all"

IMO you should only feed them beef heart once a month or so as a treat..

i mix mine up alittle. shrimp, fish, beef heart i try to give them a well balanced diet of many different meat. i dont give them beef heart as much as i do fish cuz thats what they eat in the wild most of the time. my p's love beef heart though they go nuts when i put it in the tank
