I got a little buzzed the other night. I found myself staring into my piraya tank, and the feeder tank that is right next to it. My head would wander from one tank to the other, back and forth, back and forth. Finally I just said "f*ck it", got the net and threw the biggest feeder I could catch (about 5 inches) into the piraya tank (piraya is 4 inches). i've never fed him a feeder before, and I swore to myself that I would only do it on occasion, well this was one hell of an occasion! Soon as little goldie hit the water, Ray (my piraya's name) was all over it. He would push the gold into a corner and start busting combinations on it's ass. The whole thing lasted for about three minutes. I don't think Ray was hungry, but pissed off that this big fish was in his tank. And above all, he did it right in front of me! I mean my big mug was glued to the front of the glass. I sure am proud of the little guy. Proud enough that I have decided this will be a weekly event...Sam Adams and Feeding Frenzy Fridays.

I throw a nice fish in my pygo tank about every month. Be it a nice fancy finned fat goldfish or a cichlid, it is much fun.

Cichlids are fun because it is more of a chase. Fat fancy goldfish are fun because they're fat, they're ugly, and they have trouble swimming.

Congrats!

I can recommend as cheap feeders Plattys, Guppys, Mollys, Swortails, Zebra Danios and Lemon Tetras!

The expensive ones: Oscar, Jack Dempsey, Kribensis...!
