would an aquaclear 300 be ok for a 65 gallon tank with 3 p's? i'm on a really tight budget and that would be the cheapest.

it will by you some time if your p's are small i would save up fast to add another one a.s.a.p ac 500 perhaps keep up on water changes and dont over feed and remove any left overs ac are good filters for turning over water but leave lots of crap slip threw.

A 300 wouldn't do it. Its good enought for my 30 gal, but dont think it'll help alot on a 65.

I agree you need more then a AC 300. I have 1 AC 300 on my 30G and I have 2 AC 300's on my 55G. You want to aim for around a 10X turnover in a P tank.
